HOW TO RUN FOR OFFICE
The League of Women Voters of Cortland County invites the public for refreshments and a panel presentation on How to Run for Public Office on Monday, February 2, 2026.
The event is at CNY Living History Center, and is FREE to attend. The social time with hors d’oeuvres and beverages begins 5:00 PM. The panel discussion begins at 5:45PM. There will be a Q&A period following the discussion.

Indivisible Cortland County Candlelight Vigil (6 pm, Courthouse Park)
Saturday, January 24 (10 - 11 am) : Homer High School Community Building & Workshop Day - This event hosts students from multiple YMCA Youth and Government programs across the region at Homer High School for a day focused on civic engagement, leadership development, and preparation for our mock legislative and judicial conferences. Our students are passionate about government, public policy, and community involvement. LWVCC will speak on why it is important to vote.

Wednesday, January 28 (4 - 6 pm): a free webinar on Plastics: The Mounting Threat to Public Health. If you missed the webinar, you can still watch the "Plastic Pollution" video on LWVCC's YouTube Channel.
