Sheila Cohen, Co-President

Kim Cameron, Co-President

Kim Cameron joined the LWVCC in 2022 and immediately fell in love with the NY League's environmental legislative goals.  Kim is an environmental activist with a PhD in Plant Physiology and a tutoring business focused on helping high school and college students with their academic studies (primarily math and science).   Kim is also a volunteer speaker for Beyond Plastics and founder of Beyond Plastics Onondaga-Cortland Counties.  The committee educates NYers about environmental issues and encourages activism in the community to promote the idea that every NYer deserves clean water, clean air, and a healthy environment to live in. 

Donald Chu, Vice President

Donald Chu was born in New Rochelle, NY and attended public school there.  He studied engineering at MIT, Cornell and Johns Hopkins.  For almost forty years, he worked as a NASA and NOAA contractor.  In 2017, he retired and moved to Cortland (his wife Diane’s hometown) and began volunteering in the schools.  In 2019 he joined the city school board.  He also serves on the city Environmental Advisory Committee.
